About the Design:
The inspiration forthewatercolor artwork of St John Paul II are the many photos of him with his papal cross pressed firmly into his forehead, deep in prayer. These images reflect his closeness to Christ, both in his love and suffering, especially towards the end of his life. The digital design is inspired by the dome of St. Peter’s and the Marian Cross of his coat of arms. These represent his papacy and his personal motto, “Totus tuus", reflecting his personal consecration to Mary. Mary.
